I greet the release of the second volume of NNSJ with deep humility and excitement. I'd like to express a heartfelt welcome to the NNSJ readership. I'd like to take this occasion to express my gratitude to our writers, editors, and reviewers, who have all contributed to the journal's success. Publish the journal twice a year as objective to improve the quality of treatment and research in the form of publication of scientific knowledge and practice in nursing as evidence based practice. To ensure the continuation of a successful NNSJ, I invite contributions from scientific nursing communities’ authors, reviewers, and guest editors are always welcome, and I appreciate any feedback or suggestions. INSTRUCTIONS TO CONTRIBUTORS To give your manuscript the best chance of publication, follow these policies and formatting guidelines Cover Letter: Manuscripts should be accompanied by a covering letter from the author who will be responsible for correspondence regarding the manuscript. The cover letter should include the primary affiliation for each author and the institution where the majority of their work was done. If an author has subsequently moved, the current address may additionally be stated. Addresses will not be updated or changed after publication of the article identify the author to whom all correspondence should be addressed .The letter should give any additional information that may be helpful to the editor, such as the type of article the manuscript represents in the particular journal, importance , significant of the topic and a statement that none of the material has been published or is under consideration for publication elsewhere. Declarations: All manuscripts must contain the following sections under the heading 'Declarations': • Ethics approval and consent to participate • Conflict of interests • Authors' contributions • Acknowledgements Please see below for details on the information to be included in these sections. Authorship: • Authorship of a manuscript should be agreed upon by authors prior to submission. Generally, a person attributed as an author should have contributed to (1) the conception and design of the study and data collection or data analysis; (2) writing or revising the manuscript; and (3) final approval of the version to be published. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all listed authors have agreed to: (1) the authorship as listed and in the order given by the submitting author; (2) the content of the manuscript; and (3) its submission to the journal. All authors are required to write a confirmation letter of authorship before submission. Any requests for changes in authorship prior to publication should be accompanied by a new confirmation letter . • Conflict of Interest • The journal requires that all authors disclose any potential sources of conflict of interest. Any interest or relationship, financial or otherwise that might be perceived as influencing an author's objectivity is considered a potential source of conflict of interest • If the authors have no conflict of interest to declare, they must also state this at submission • Acknowledgements • Acknowledge only persons who have made substantive contributions to the study. Including anyone who provided professional writing services or materials. If any of the sections are not relevant to your manuscript, please include the heading and write 'Not applicable' for that section. • plagiarism • Suspected plagiarism in a submitted manuscript can be brought to the attention of the Editor-in-Chief either through the similarity report of the plagiarism detection scan or through a Reviewer of the manuscript. • If material has been plagiarised, the corresponding author will be informed by the Editor-in-Chief that the manuscript is rejected on these grounds. • The reader or Reviewer reporting the suspected plagiarism will be informed of the outcome of the investigation. • Fees The publication costs for Neelain Nursing Science Journal is 100000 SDG so authors need to pay an article-processing fees for each article reviewed. Post-acceptance • The corresponding author will be notified as soon as possible as to which issue their manuscript has been assigned for publication General consideration: • Neelain Nursing Science Journal (NNSJ) is multidisciplinary peer reviewed journal that will publish thrice a year • To address this new Journal, it will be the purpose of the editorial board of NNSJ to encourage authors to submit high quality papers for publication. • Guide to contributors is published to help the authors to present their data in accordance with the currently accepted uniform style for submitted manuscripts. It is based on the international medical editors recommendations with some modifications to suit our situation • Authors are completely responsible for the accuracy of all statements contained in their manuscripts. • Author(s) should be scientifically qualified and certified to report scientific data or conduct scientific research. Student(s) in a relevant field supervised by such a caliber can be accepted as an author. • Each author should have participated sufficiently in the work to take public responsibility for appropriate portions of the content and should clearly specify at least the highest academic or professional degree and his/her current affiliation. • Editor in Chief may ask to complete the specific author a conflict-of-interest disclosure forms. • A corresponding author should clearly be nominated to be in contact with the editorial board. • Original articles should be no more than 3000 words. • Review Article: is a review of a given condition highlighting recent information, its length must not exceed 3000 words. • Official ethical clearance and valid consent should be clearly stated when the work includes data collection from humans (personal or experimental) Submission of Manuscripts: • Submission of Manuscripts is accepted with the understanding that they are not submitted for publication by another journal(s). • Depending on the editorial board or referees' discretion, manuscript publication may be postponed or abrogated. Amendment in the submitted manuscript may be transacted with the corresponding author when that is necessary for publication. • All Manuscripts must be in English language. Preparation of Manuscripts: 1. Use one side of A4 size (210x297mm) paper with 2cm wide margin at both sides and 3 cm wide margin at the top and bottom of page, font size 12 (Times New Roman) is preferred, and entire manuscripts must be double spaces including the abstract, foot notes, references, figures legends, and tables. 2. Manuscripts should be arranged under the following headings: title, conflict of interest statement, abstract and key words, introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgment, references, tables and figures legends. 3. Start each section in a new page and numbered all pages. Case report, reviews and editorials are likely to have special format. Title page The title page should include (1) The title of the article which should be concise and informative (2) The first names(s), middle initial(s), and surname of author(s), the institution of origin including the city and country and the academic degree. (3) The name and complete address of the corresponding author include the telephone numbers and Email address at the foot of the page Conflict of interest statement Author must state clearly whether potential conflict do or do not excite. Abstract and key words The abstract should be limited to 250 words structured under the following headings: introduction, methods, results and conclusion; reviews and case study may require modification of this format. Author should provide 4 to 6 key words. The main text Introduction should provide a context or background for the study and state the specific research objective of the study. It gives summary and does not give intensive information. Methods are a description of the work action, clearly identify your methods, or procedure in sufficient details. Methods should describe the selection of the participants. Give references to established methods, including statistical methods and analysis. Ethical consideration should be summarized. Results should be presented in logical sequences using tables and figures to explain information without duplications. Emphasize only the important observations in the results section and fulfill the main objectives. Tables, type each table in a separate page, don’t submit tables as photographs, number tables consecutively in the order of their first citation in the text and supply a brief title for each. Author should place explanatory matter in the footnote not in the heading.non standard abbreviations should be explained in the footnote. Use the following symbols in this sequence *, **, ***. Figures should be placed each in separate paper with number and title at the foot of the figure. Discussion should summaries briefly the main findings and what your findings mean, then explores possible explanation of these findings in the light of relevant literature and relate the observations to other relevant studies.. Conclusion should be linked with the objectives of the study and avoid unqualified statements and conclusions not supported by your data. Acknowledgment should be only to persons who have made substantive contributions to the study. References are to be cited according to Vancouver style of referencing both in the text and the list of references. Relevant and recent references are preferred. Books Author(s), chapter title, editor name, and title of book, city of publication, publisher, year, volume, edition number, and inclusive page number. Length of the case report not more than 1000. Letter to the editor: A brief commentary in a recent published article not more than 3 months. Length not more than 500 words. One original and two photocopies of the manuscript should be submitted. Manuscripts should also be submitted as a Microsoft Word in a CD. Manuscripts can also be sent via e-mails as Microsoft Word attachments. Each manuscript must be accompanied by a covering letter signed by all authors who will appear in the published paper + Ethical clearance for the work.
